Opening the show is Rose Tattoo, one of Australia’s most revered rock bands fronted by the great Angry Anderson. The Tatts re-formed in 1993 to open for Guns N Roses on their Australian tour and tonight saw Slash joining the band on stage for two songs - ‘Scarred For Life’ and an extended version of ‘Nice Boys Don’t Play Rock’n Roll’, which Angry added, was Slash’s choice.

The Struts followed with an energetic set fronted by vocalist Luke Spiller, who embodies an equal mix of Freddie Mercury/Mick Jagger prowl and swagger. Racing through there set saw them play favourites and a new tunes from there current release, ‘Pretty Vicious’.

Headlining the night saw Slash, along with Myles Kennedy and solid backing band The Conspirators play a sizeable twenty-two songs set list spanning the decade long career and four album back catalogue.

Playing tracks from all four albums, ‘Living The Dream’, ‘Apocalyptic Love’, ‘World on Fire’ and current release,’4’, Slash also added some covers - the co-write with Lenny Kravitz ‘Always On The Run’ and a Guns n’ Roses tune ‘Bad Apples’, both sung by bass player Todd Kerns and also adding Elton John’s ‘Rocket Man’ in the encore.

Overall a great night of guitar shredding solo’s and rock n’ roll.
