TOM BUSBY ANNOUNCES ‘THE LOTTERY TOUR’ SOLO EAST COAST DATES FOR NOVEMBER
Tom Busby, one half of the award-winning duo Busby Marou, is back and stepping out on his own with The Lottery Tour this November.
Taking his solo career to the next level, these new shows will preview his debut album Rockhampton Hangover, due for release in early 2026 and follow his debut solo run earlier this year which saw sell-out performances and the beginnings of a cult-like fanbase. Crowds were swept up in the raw energy of a front man making his own mark.
“I just love being back on the road with this young band. They are red hot and bring so much energy. Playing these intimate rooms feels special, the connection is real, and the storytelling is off the hook,” says Busby.
Commencing in Sydney on November 7, Tom then heads to Buttai, Wollongong and Murwillumbah in NSW before heading north to Brisbane and the Gold Coast, wrapping the tour in Victoria with shows in Bellarine, Castlemaine and Melbourne at the end of the month.
Tom’s latest single Lottery is fast becoming a favourite in his live set and has garnered strong support across the airwaves with additions to Double J, Triple M Homegrown and KIIS Australia.
On discussing the new single Tom explains, “It's all about finding joy in the little wins. For some people, that’s hitting the jackpot - for me, it’s moments with my family, music, freedom, and feeling alive. It’s easily the most thumping track on the album - loud, loose, and built for the stage… and who doesn’t love a whistle hook? This one’s a belter”.
All of it builds towards the release of his debut solo album Rockhampton Hangover, early next year and is already generating serious buzz as one of the most talked about records on the horizon. Recorded and produced in Texas with American indie icon Ben Kweller, the project is shaping into something special. Early singles Waiting For Tomorrow - which achieved over 30K streams in the first weeks of release - Someone Strong and Cyclone are weaving themselves into the Australian songbook, proving that Tom’s solo voice is every bit as powerful as his work with Busby Marou.
With momentum building and a band that is raw, powerful and absolutely on fire, The Lottery Tour will bring Tom’s new songs to life in intimate rooms around the country.
