Counting Crows announce The Complete Sweets! Tour Australia & New Zealand 2026
For more than three decades, Grammy and Academy Award-nominated rock band Counting Crows have enchanted listeners worldwide with their intensely soulful and intricate take on timeless rock and roll. In 2026 they return to Australia and New Zealand with The Complete Sweets! Tour - bringing decades of sing‑along moments, deep cuts, and fresh energy to iconic theatres across both countries.
Counting Crows burst onto the scene in 1993 with their multi-platinum debut, August and Everything After. They’ve released seven studio albums, sold over 20 million records, and are acclaimed as a top live rock band. Their 1996 album Recovering the Satellites debuted at number one, bolstering their status in alternative rock. Subsequent albums include This Desert Life (1999), Hard Candy (2002), Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings (2008), Underwater Sunshine (2012), Echoes of the Outlaw Roadshow (2013), and Somewhere Under Wonderland (2014).
In 2004, their song “Accidentally in Love” from Shrek 2 earned them Oscar, Golden Globe, and Grammy nominations. In 2021, Billboard ranked them #8 on its Greatest Adult Alternative Artists list. After a seven-year break, they released Butter Miracle: Suite One to critical praise and toured globally through 2023. In May 2025, they released Butter Miracle: The Complete Sweets! and continue to receive strong acclaim for their energetic live performances.
Having delivered some of the world’s most beloved rock songs, from “Mr Jones” and “Round Here”, to their cover of “Big Yellow Taxi” and the Shrek movie/soundtrack hit, “Accidentally in Love”, Counting Crows returned earlier this year to drop an album of new material, Butter Miracle, The Complete Sweets! featuring single “Spaceman In Tulsa”.
