Tonight all are welcome to the show, handsome men, hot goth chick's, aliens and zombies. For Wednesday 13 performs Murderdolls tonight and we party like it's another planet with no rules on how we do it. Because these folks are about to witness the show of a lifetime.

With a sold out gig most people won't want to miss a good spot at one of our favorite venues Max Watts. On one of the hottest days in Melbourne this summer, getting up to 38 degrees you'd be crazy to leave the house but alas this is a crazy group of people. It's about to get real hot, sweaty and loopy in this venue.

Death Of Art

Death Of Art grace the stage with their gothic presence. An intriguing sound coming from the stage of dark electronic music with a dash of rock and classical sounds. A high vocal range coming from front lady Erin, giving us entertainment, dancing and twisting her red fabric around as well as other assortment of props.

The crowd violently cheers as the Intro ‘The World According To Revenge’ starts to play, the band sets foot on stage and rolls into the first song ‘Chapel Of Blood’. Everyone ecstatic lead vocalists Wednesday 13 says “Melbourne you don't need luck when you don't give a fuck” a great transition into ‘Death Valley Superstars’. Then on our first dive into the album Beyond The Valley Of The Murderdolls he asks the crowd if we are ready to take it old school playing ‘197666’ . You bet you'll be singing this song long after the gig.

The show got off to a great start. It was about time we had some words from Wednesday 13. He mentions how much he loves us even to go as far as coming in the summer because you know he's not a summer guy. He goes on to say this is the first time celebrating the mother fucking Murderdolls and they're doing it in honour and tribute of his brothers Ben Graves and Joey Jordison, the audience scream and applaud showing respect. If you heard the next song ‘Slit My Wrist’ when it first came out on cd you old. The crowd knowing all the lyrics Wednesday thanks us.

“The power of Christ compels you” He repeatedly yells at the possessed. A sign we are about to hear ‘Love At First Fright’. After that Wednesday questions the audience if we want to go fast because he wants to go fast the upbeat sounds of ‘She Was a Teenage Zombie’ begins to play.

Do you like songs about necrophilia because we know Iron Maiden fans didn't now let's do some ‘Grave Robbing U.S.A.’.

This horror, punk, metal night has just begun as the band plunge into ‘Die My Bride’ and ‘Blood Stained Valentine’ a track Mick Mars from Motley Crue recorded some guitar on.

Wednesday's voice booms through the venue introducing the next song in a smart way “Melbourne when we are done there's gonna be nothing but ‘Pieces of You’”. Half way through the set, the king of talking and transitioning into a song Wednesday says “It's getting hot in here we better conjure up the devil raise those horns and ‘Drug Me to Hell’”. We got a sneaky epic drum solo by Mike Dupke and a personal favorite track ‘People Hate Me’.

Despite it heating up everyone persevered and proceeded with songs ‘Welcome to the Strange’, ‘Dawn of the Dead’ and ‘Nowhere’ a song dedicated to Joey the crowd chanting his name and ending with ‘Summertime Suicide’.

The dead not done they incant Wednesday 13 to return to the stage and it works as he comes back with his encore ensemble on, his famous military hat donned. Completing the show with ‘White Wedding’, ‘I Love to Say Fuck’ and ‘Dead in Hollywood’. I'm not sure how many times fuck was said but it was an amazing night.
