Last night’s Thom Yorke concert at Sidney Myer Music Bowl was like plunging into a hypnotic reverie, where the boundaries between the real and the imagined dissolved beneath waves of ethereal sound and pulsing visuals. Yorke, with his haunting presence and unmistakable voice, cast a spell over the crowd, each song pulling us deeper into a world both unsettling and beautiful. Tracks like “Suspirium” (a personal favourite of mine) echoed through the venue, capturing a fragile melancholy that seemed to resonate with everyone present. The audience swayed as one, caught in Yorke's hypnotic rhythm, each note sparking a shared sense of mystery and introspection. Each track carried its own fragile melancholy, but when he launched into a Radiohead classic, the crowd erupted The night left an echo—a quiet, lingering unease mixed with awe—an experience that felt like stepping into another plane of existence, if only for a moment.
