Doom descended upon Max Watt’s as Pallbearer returned to Australian shores, delivering an emotionally charged and sonically devastating set in support of their latest release, Mind Burns Alive. With a stage bathed in deep reds and shadows, the Arkansas outfit moved seamlessly between crushing riffs and mournful melodies, their signature sound filling the venue with eerie, hypnotic weight. Brett Campbell’s haunting vocals floated above towering walls of distortion, capturing themes of isolation and redemption with raw intensity.
Joining them were UK doom titans Conan, whose performance was nothing short of seismic. With Evidence of Immortality still resonating through the scene, Conan brought a barrage of low-end heaviness and thunderous rhythms that shook the walls. Local openers Ghostsmoker and Mammons Throne set the tone early with atmospheric and crushing sets of their own, priming the crowd for a night of pure, unrelenting doom.
